My name is Blake Johnson — A New York based makeup artist originally from Atlanta. My passion for beauty started early, and by 15, I had already begun working professionally.
What started as a self-taught experimentation doing homecoming makeup in my mothers living room quickly evolved into a career working with high profile clients such as Millie Bobby Brown, Lady Kitty Spencer for Dolce & Gabbana, Kim Zolciak-Biermann (and family), among others. Along the way, I’ve also received advanced artistry training with leading brands including Urban Decay, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury and Make Up For Ever.
Over time, I’ve developed a signature approach centered on complexion — skin that look like skin, even at full coverage. I love balancing that natural finish with a bold, wearable eye or lip, a style I call “Makeup By Blake Johnson".
My work led to collaborations with global retailers such as Zara, Stitch Fix, Belk, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, Florence by Mills, Macy’s, Ulta Beauty, Sephora US and Sephora Canada. I’ve also had the honor of bring featured in publications such as Glamour (USA, UK, Spain, Germany and Mexico) and British Vogue.
